Baby don't forget my name...
Shadow dripped from the open window and landed on the floor next to my cage, taking a humanoid form as it fell. I stared, not daring to blink, while it emerged from the shade.
Tall, handsome, long straight hair made of darkness, with a former-warrior built that still looked like he could take you in his arms to crush you without breaking a sweat, caramel-coloured skin, bearded face and sombre expression.
His eyes were so dark and so beautiful, and he was looking at me with utter interest... and sadness way hidden in the back. (Was he feeling sorry for me back then?)
"What... are you..?"
"I could ask you the same thing, dear", his deep, powerful voice filled the room like a whisper, and as he spoke I caught a glimpse of two long, sharp, white teeth.
"I..." I started. I closed my mouth, opened it again and had to close it one more time. "I don't know", I finally admitted.
"But what are you called? Do you have a name, I presume?" He slid closer to the cage. "Why do they keep you here?"
"Luzbella, I think..." I was having trouble focusing. He reached for my hand through the cage bars and kissed it softly
Heat rushed through my veins and I had to pull my hand as quickly as I could, for I felt a spark igniting my skin. The light I emitted for a split second was enough for him to get as far from me as he could. The light died abruptly and I could see him shaking his hand vigorously.
"You are just a child" His voice turned a little more cavernous and I noticed a tone of growing understanding. I said nothing. "This is most unexpected...", he began again, pacing around the room. "I should take my leave now."
"Wait!" I suddenly yelled when I realized he was already sliding through the window. "Ah..." I was surprised at myself for calling him. His deep deep eyes stared directly into mine. "What's your name? Will you come again...?"
"I will" His voice was far but I still could hear his smile among his words. "I'm Gaghiel"
The world fell silent again and the sun began ascending.
"When the morning breaks us..."
